2 Year Gym Membership - business name changed

Hi,
I am tied into a 2 year gym membership which I never used. I thought I would have to pay for another year, however on passing recently we noticed their name has changed and we suspect the business has been sold! If this is the case does our existing agreement/2 year contract still apply?
