I have an idea for raising 'funds' for charities, but it involves asking for the help of one (maybe more) of the major supermarket chains. It wouldnt be particularly beneficial to the supermarket, so if there are any ideas as to how best to make my request, then I'm listening!

Write and ask. If you let people know that they helped then its an 'advertisment' for them. You'd be surprised what supermarkets will agree to. Write to the managers at the local store.Current Mortgage - £156,633:eek:Expecting baby no. one on 27th Oct 20100

At our local supermarket there are often clubs and charities doing bag packing and the customer gives a donation. All you would need to do is write and ask them for permission and a date when you could do it.0

Or, choose a charity you think should benefit and approach them with it. They might have someone that would know the best way to proceed.
Many supermarkets choose their charity support nationally, with a little local work, but it would depend on the exact idea. (I'm dead curious now, tell me by all means, but be aware I have a strong connection with a national charity. Details available by PM)for more info check out www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk . You'll find me there.
