wait and see what turns up in the post or send them a message saying

"Hello, I've noticed that payment has been marked as sent for this item. I'm just wondering how you have paid as it is a cash on collection auction"

But then again, if you offered "cash on collection" as an option, that suggests to me that your buyer is thinking you will arrange postage etc and post the item
  • edit - checked paypal account direct, no sign of a payment
  • they might intend to come and pick the item up and pay, and have marked it as payment sent (even though its not) ive done this with refunded items so i dont keep getting asked to pay for the bloody things again.

if they dont pay in a few days (or contact you for collection) just open a dispute.

    Don't worry about it.

The buyer probably intends to pay you cash on collection. However they will have a nagging bit on their account saying that an item still needs to be paid for so they've probably just marked it as payment sent to clear the nag.

Give it a few days from auction end, then send an invoice/message if they haven't contacted you - that usually reminds them.
After a week with no contact from them, then raise a non paying bidder claim.
