Forget the letters just go straight to court -- Abbey don't give a penny away, and are waiting for the test case outcome0

I don't agree because a court will stay the claim and that's the end of that. Let's try and get something for the OP and get Abbey to answer, they do eventually.0 -
I have 3 accounts with abbey and have written countless letters regarding each one abbey always take the same line ie get lost wait for the test case, so i think get the court papers in now so when we win you get your money0

If they acknowledge your claim they already have a duty to payout a compensatory amount since it is defined within the FSA Waiver.I have 3 accounts with abbey and have written countless letters regarding each one abbey always take the same line ie get lost wait for the test case, so i think get the court papers in now so when we win you get your money0 -
Didnt realise it applied if the bank acknowledged your complaint, thought it was only for cases stayed throught the court0

There is a lot of different forums offering a lot of advice. I think that if the OP is on benefits then by all means file a case even though it will get stayed, simply because they get fee remission via an EX150.Didnt realise it applied if the bank acknowledged your complaint, thought it was only for cases stayed throught the court
However, I think the OP needs and should get a response from Abbey even if it is an acknowledgement of receiving the complaint. That is why I was asking more questions to find out if there is a case that Abbey never received the request or it went to a branch who may have done nothing with it.0
