I'm thinking of buying one of these for my new desktop PC - any suggestions - also do they come with an aerial or do you need to connect to the household one

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Some come with a little 'rubber duckie' type indoor aerial and unless ur on the top of a mountain its useless!

Just split your main TV aerial and run a feed into it.

Here, here I would agree with that. Not sure why they give them out as I can't belive they work for anybody!

Easy enought to work around through and I'll get a lot better quality and channels using the main aerial. :D

I'd recommend searching for one that has "BDA" drivers. This is the standard that a lot of TV software uses, including Windows Media Center Edition.

I got a couple of digital TV cards really cheap because they don't have BDA drivers, and the software that comes with them is absolute garbage. But as I use them under Linux, I don't care :D
Why pay more than you have to?

    Hi,
I have used the ariel supplied which is only about 3-4" high attached to a laptop and you do get a good picture, obviously dependant on where you are, currently I have it on a second PC with a cheap amplified indoor ariel and it works great.
