My XD card failed recently and the shop prices where horrendous...I bought one on E.Bay...buy it now...so it came the very next day......
  • Thanks, I had a look on ebay, i just wasn't sure if they were genuine... also I was looking for a 1GB and their prices seem on par with mymemory, and then Ive got a guarentee.

I just can't believe that high st shops sell them for nearly double - even jessops online shop wasn't any cheaper!

They take 3-4 days as they are in Jersey.

    Hi all
Would anyone know of a site that specifically sells the old XD type cards? I ordered one from 7dayshop.co.uk at a good price but when it came it was the M/H type and it's not compatible with my camera. I've been back to them but they now tell me they don't have that type (too bad they didn't explain what type it was in the description!).

I really need the standard type xd card so any advice appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi
Thanks for this but (and maybe it's me) when I click through to the details, they all say type M or type H.

I'm really struggling to get one that's not either of those.

    Thanks for your help.

Not really sure what you want. The type M is the original xD card and the type H is the later higher speed version.

"The new High Speed Olympus xD Picture Card (H Type) has been developed for the more demanding photographer who requires high speed data transfer. This Olympus Type H XD picture card can attain write speeds of up to 2-3 times faster than the standard & Type M xD Picture Card."

    HTH

    Hi
    Thanks for your help.
It's just that my camera information has this information on it:

This xD-Picture Card™ is now superseded by the newer xD-Picture Type M and H cards. This card is still the only card type to be used with the FinePix cameras

So it's the original, non- M/H type I need. The one supplied in the camera is of course only 16mb but it doesn't have the letters M or H on the card itself. I've checked with Fuji and it says this card type is to be discontinued so I guess I'll just have to keep trying.

    Thanks a lot.
