I had an M&S card with 0% for 9 months, which has just ended, so I transfered the money somewhere else. But now I'd like to transfer it back and get another 6months 0% as ahs been suggested on here, but any idea how long it has to stay with nothing on it before I get a deal?

When did you do the transfer? Assuming you did it early last week, give them a call straight away and ask to be put through to the account closure department. Say you are looking at getting a new 0% card you want to close your account, but before you close, can they offer you anything to match this. When they look your details up, it should show a zero balance which will give you more leverage. If you have only just done the transfer, I'd leave it for at least 5 days - I dont know if M&S do online banking, but if they do then use that to keep track of your account and see when the balance is zero before calling.0

I phoned M&S &More up after I paid off the account to zero and I got quoted 9.9% on balance transfers for 6 months. So I said 'thanks but no thanks' and left it for a few days.
I phoned them up again after 4/5 days and got quoted 0% for 6 months with no fee so I took them up straightaway on that offer. Phoned them back up the next day and asked for an increase in my credit limit which they did so I did another 0% balance transfer.
I think they only allow you to increase your credit limit once every 6 months.
I have heard that if you go to account closures they will only offer you something like 3.9% for 6 months or something similar but have never tried doing that myself with this card. I'm too scared that they will actually just say 'Ok, your account has now been closed!'
Let us know what you decide to do and the outcome so it can help others.0 -
Thats why I suggest being put through to closures, but saying that BEFORE you close the card can they offer you anything. They might not even put you through to closures, instead asking why you want to close. Either way, it makes you sound serious about it and they will take you seriously.0

I transfered the balence about 2 weeks ago, so I've just phoned them up and they offered me 3% for 6 months. Its better than I've got now, but not 0%. I'll maybe try again tomorow see if they'll change it.
