Re-accepting an offer?

Just a quickie, if someone makes an offer on your house and you turn it down, hoping that they come back with a higher offer, but they dont...is it possible to go back and re-accept their first offer? Or is it not the 'done' thing

dont see why u cant do that,,, if u want so save face u could always add a proviso
eg... we have had further thoughts and have decided that we will accept yr offer as long as u can complete within 3months

You can easily say you managed to get the property you wanted at a cheaper price so can now afford to accept a lower offer.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
