That was the first offer at the time and I was glad that it was accepted. I kind of expected them to reject it, but it was voted in favour at 75.55%.
I was expecting to have to make another offer in a few months should it be rejected, as I really had no idea or information as to what constituted a reasonable offer. There is a posting on here that successfully offered less. It seems to be a judgement issue on your part along with what direction the wind is blowing on the day in question as to who votes for, or against.
It has allowed my family and myself to start afresh and I wish the same for everyone else.
Wow, thank you. Not only is your email incredibly helpful but it's happy news! Well done to you for sorting it out and I can't wait for us to be in your situation.
Can I ask - how far into the IVA were you? Do you know how much the credititors are likely to balance the length of time left to the offer? Or is your experience simply that they weighed up your offer against waiting for payment and potential defaults in the future.
It just seems so good and i worry that they are unlikely to accept our offer as the figures seem relatively small.0 -
I was 3 years into it.
I was expecting the offer to be rjected as I had no info to go on. Its almost just a case of chancing your hand. They can only say no and an offer can be remade if it is rejected, but offeres cost THEM money so if it is reasonable enough then it is in their interest to accept. From alot of comments on these pages all the credit companies have different outlooks at different times.0
