Sorry for not replying sooner, I completely forgot i'd posted here.
I think it knew I wasn't happy as seems to be running a bit better now! I will look through your posts tomorrow and run what needs running.
It has 2 drives on it (I think...don't laugh), one is 17GB and i'm using just over 6. The other is also 17 and i'm using just under 2. Like I said, I only really use it for the internet. I have my PC for anything else, so if I need to install something i'll do it on there.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Your main problem will remain, which is inadequate RAM. You need a minimum of 512MB and preferably 1GB to run XP properly, regardless of any other applications.No free lunch, and no free laptop
