Sold 2 items on eBay - just realised an error in my description

Hi
I had 2 mobile phones listed on eBay - and described the colour as Black (because they are predominately black) - both have been sold, but I only just realised that the actual colour is 'Black/Charcoal' and that there is an identical model in all black.
Should I notify them of this and maybe offer a refund of p&p or knock off a fiver, or do nothing and wait.

I think it would be better to notify the buyers. I wouldn't offer a discount at first. They may say that's fine, or they may not even want the product. You won't know, however, until you tell them what the problem is.

I would contact them as suggested and point out your error and how dozy you have been etc. Do not offer a refund at this point.
If they say the item is not suitable then I would offer a small refund; I have learned that the biggest hassle is returns and will pay buyers virtually all my profit not to send something back. Returns once you have them back tend to lie around gathering dust and have normally cost you postage out; (possibly) postage back and and the postage out agin if you replace. For me that usually adds up to £18 or more.0 -
can i just chip in with all the paypal warning info, etc
if they have unverfied / unconfirmed addresser, YOU ARE NOT covered by seller protection DO NOT POST TO ANY ADDRESS OTHER THAN THE PAYPAL ONE
also, only post using special delivery if they're valuable, (you get insurance and a tracking number)money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
