Amazon / Halifax mastercard...

Up until last month we had an Amazon mastercard (I was primary, H was additional card holder) which we used for our joint spends (food, petrol, nights out etc)

Amazon and Halifax parted company at the end of June and we got sent new halifax cards.

I used the online facilty with Amazon to check my account etc

When the new Halifax cards came through I registered for online banking with the Halifax, however when it comes to adding my new Halifax card number to the account it wont accept it (its the same card number as on the amazon card)

Any ideas? Id phone them but Ive tried twice at two different times and just sat on hold for ages and I have better things to do

Its not a major problem as we now have a Tesco card on 0% on purchases for a year which we will use instead so I could actually cancel the Halifax cards but Id like to know whats going on

mine took a while to register. just give it a couple of days.

Update on this...

Tried again last night to add my card to my halifax account online, still wouldnt go through so I tried ringing (using the overseas number - 027 number) and got straight through...

The problem was nothing to do with my account or my card....

It was because I was using Firefox and not IE, so switched the tab over to IE and bobs my uncle (well he isnt but youget the gist!!)
