DLA - why does it take so long !

Thanks for all your replies. I know it takes time, but there has been several posts lately of people hearing 3,4 5 weeks etc, so mine going into 8 weeks (and now I know 11 weeks) - with a relatively simple case just sent me into a spiral of panic. I KNOW getting DLA is essential to everyone who claims on here, but it is absolutely life changing for me to continue to get it and with mine being a mental health claim it just is not doing me any good0

They dont always tell you the truth whether they have written to your GP or consultant. To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0

my GP does though and she has not been written to this time, but she was 2 years ago. I sent in a written report by her, but then I did 2 years ago but they still wrote to her. This time they havent.0

Not very reassuring, but my partner's claim finally came through last week after sending it in in April. However, the good news was very generous back pay (nearly £1k).0 -
