Depends how far the gas has to run. If the gas supply is in the kitchen near where you want the cooker should be pretty easy.
But you'll need a GasSafe certified engineer to do the work.0 -
thanks. yes the gas supply is near the kitchen. about 10 feet away.
can you give me an estimate of the cost/work involved?0 -

£178:23... A better answer is available from any GasSafe engineer...after he has seen the place... and found out if you care about where the pipe runs (eg along the sitting-room wall @ 5ft up or buried under the floor so 'tis invisible..)
Sigh!!
Cheers!

If you need an estimate for the length of a piece of string please let me know.0 -
My friendly gas man (a GasSafe certified engineer) would probably do that for £200 or so.
What you need to ascertain is what you’re sticking on the end of the pipe. Worktop gas hobs need rigid pipework. A freestanding cooker needs the flexible hose. You’ll end up having the gas man visit twice if you’re not careful.
I can’t stress enough how important it is that you use a GasSafe certified engineer. There are still idiots around who’ll do it for £50 cash and leave you with leaks.0
