I buy the big bottles from Motor factors for under £10 IIRC.

I totally agree but when your car cost less than 49p it seems pointless paying £10 for oil!!!0 -
no such thing as really cheap oil , just means quicker wear ,due to less sludging and corrosion addatives , the one i use is best value is super universal tractor oil ,(dont be put off by the word tractor!) it has all the additives , universal tractor oil has less , look up yur local agricultural merchants , cost approx £25.00 - £30.00 , but you will have to get a 25 litre drum , will last ages , and you can get different grades .
