ebay quidco nectar buying question

Have tried finding an answer to this using forum search with no luck so sorry if this has been asked.

I have just started using nectar on ebay bid have yet to recive any nectar points though, have also used qidco a few time with good results, after reading what the nectar site says they track nectar points based on you bidding on an item or a buy it now, an according to quidco the track when you pay for an item, so i have just gone a bid on an item (with a selling price of £265) and won and then come out of ebay and logged back in via quidco to make payment to earn quidco cashback on same purchase, has anyone else tryed this and was it sucsessful.

i wont be too upset if it dosn't work but a few nectar points and a few pennies in my quidco account would be nice.

Can I just add in regards to Quidco and ebay tracking. I had a problem where 99% of my ebay transactions never tracked. Finally someone on a ebay Quidclan helped me. Quidco have it wrong. You need to go through Quidco before you place your bid or buy it now. I've started doing that and also going through Quidco as I'm about to pay and everything now tracks 100% of the time.

I only ever go through Quidco to pay, and not to purchase, and it all tracks fine for me.

Hmmm, I go through Quidco to bid/BIN, and not to pay via Paypal. Always get the quidco, even when I've paid cash on collection.

We go through quidco to pay, and it is hit and miss if it ever tracks. It's never tracked at the right amount either- mostly we can't be bothered to clear cookies and log back in for 2p.

Given how the ebay affilaite system works, the tracking cookie is placed on your PC when you click through to place the bid, and not when you pay.

I also very much doubt that Ebay Partner Network will pay two affiliates for the same sale.

What are the current payouts like on Nectar/Quidco and other cashback sites? Do they pay a % of the final value fee, or a fixed rate per item sold?

Theoretically Quidco is 40% of the FVF.

Ok - that makes sense.

Quidco will be paid the upper teir affiliate rate of 65% of the final value fee. By tracking the cookies they can tell who bid on what and when and won, therefore paying out a gross 40% of the final value fee.

The affiliate system is likely to change very soon, so instead of paying out on completed sales, they will be paying out on per click basis, up to around 10p per click.

Earning 6p per item sold does not seem as appealing as 40% of the FVF...

nectar is currently advertising 2 points for every pound spent on ebay though im yet to successfully get anything to track on nectar

just an update quidco has tracked and ive got £9.69, so if that 40% of final fees seller must have paid about £25 in final value fees

still nothing showing on nectar not even on an item i bought 3 weeks ago and bidded well it was a buy it now and purchased compleatly though nectar

think i'll stick with quidco just because they are more reliable
