    i've just had a thought....please let me know what you think....

    as the debt was £650 when my partner entered into the iva and has now escalated to nearly £1100, surely i can reclaim the bank charges on this? therefore reducing the debt...

    Hi retsbed,

    Yes that's it. Make sure that if you agree to pay £30 for the Natwest O/D that DFD reduce your partner's IVA payments by £30 to enable you to afford the payment.

    With regard to the other point you raise, I'm not exactly sure whether or not you would be able to reclaim any charges, but it would be well worth a try.

    perhaps someone else will be able to offer an opinion on that.
