I've switched broadband during the week.
Pleased with the deal, saved £4 per month, got £80 cashback and £24 voucher.
But the main difference is the speed & customer service. My husband works from home occasionally and he can't believe how much faster it is to download his files. All the support numbers are 084? type numbers so no charge on my tariff. Ok - the advisers are foreign, but speak good english and are extremely helpful (haven't figured out where they are based yet, somewhere Scandinavian I think?).
If you raise a support ticket, it is dealt with same day with holding updates as well.
I'm really impressed :j

be broadband seem to have polish/russian tech support, ive often dealt with them and they are absolutely useless and rude, all the names were russian and they didnt seem that fluent with qwerty keyboards (they mistook some of my MAC code for numbers when it was letters).
that said they are owned and operated by O2 (whos adverts put me off sean bean who i used to like) after the davenport lyons scandal where they got peoples details from isp's to demand monies i upped and left.
hope this doesnt put you off too much.0 -
I signed up to BE a couple of months ago and have been really pleased with them so far - they're much faster, cheaper and more reliable than my previous supplier (who shall remain nameless on the basis that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything!
)
I'd like to give one bit of advice with BE, though - make sure you check your first statement when it arrives. I signed up with a free connection offer, but my first statement showed that I'd been charged a £40-odd connection fee, because "our system isn't set up to cope with free connection offers".
They refunded the money the next month so there was no harm done, but I don't know if they would have done so if I hadn't pointed out the mistake.Back after a very long break!0
