crosswater shower fittings

i am in the process of updating my bathroom, and intend to have a double ended bath with shower over the centre.
as a would an 1800 x 800 bath, it will need recessing into the wall slightly so i dont think tap holes would work. As i was looking for options for the shower, i came across the Grohe talentofill as an option for bath filling without taps.
However, to also have a thermostatic shower with fixed showerhead and hand shower as well, this is the only option i have come across which fits my ideas-

my only concern is whether this is a good make and does anyone have experience of plumbfit?
or can anyone suggest any alternatives??

Never heard of them
Stick to the main brands such as bristan, crosswater, hansgrohe and groheHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
thanks, the link loses the set up i tried to show, (just gone back to look- its the oslo 2067 kit, with a 3 way thermostatic mixer diverter valve, bath filler and waste, shower head and bath mounted hand shower)
when i have looked around, I havent been able to find any of these makes which do all of these? (which is the set up I would really like)
could you advise if they do and if so, where??

hi Andy,
ok, thanks. it's the first time I have updated a bathroom so I'm a bit confused over all the choices.. lol
i have a combi boiler and want a double ended steel bath (if i go for 800 wide it will be recessed into the wall slightly, so not sure tapholes will fit then?) and the shower is going over the middle of the bath.
this is a piccy of the set up i mentioned which i liked as its all streamlined
I originally found a steel bath without tapholes- thats how i discovered the talentofill and then tried to find the shower option i wanted, but couldnt work it all out
had a quick look at the ideafill option, but i wasnt keen on the valves sitting on the bath really), so is there a way of getting this kind of look (with a hand shower tucked out of the way)without the bath filler option? should i look at wall mounted bathtaps and a shower???

Did my bathroom last year and some of the logistics are a nightmare for the DIYer.
Can't help much on the dilema, but how sound is it to recess the bath into the wall? I thought about it with my shower tray, when I originally planned putting my freestanding shower into a corner where it didn't quite fit.
Glad I didn't now, as I had problems making the shower tray water tight and recessing seems to increase the chances of water penetrating areas where it will cause wholescale damage.
I had a few leaks down the back of the tray till I got it right and also until I used a very good silicon that stayed put and didn't work free from a surface. Had that been recessed into plasterboard it would probably have been a case of stripping it right back to the brick and starting again with new platerboard, re-tiling and refiting shower enclosure.0 -
ok, andyhop I blame you!!!
have updated my plans (and upped my budget )
for these yummy crosswater fittings-
Water Square wall mounted 2 hole bath set
i would still like to have a deck mounted hand shower, and overhead fixed shower, so assume that i need a 2 way thermostatic diverter valve for these? (not a 3 way one anymore-they do just a bath spout which would need the diverter, but on reflection, this would be a better option than the spout if you want to top the bath up with hot water when in it as it will be more easily reached than the shower diverter)
crosswater do one that matches, but i prefer this zeya valve
but i dont know if i need this follow me handset/hose
or the handset hose only option???

Also, have sourced the best prices online that i can find- is it likely my plumber will be able to match or better these through trade discounts????

another question- what is a click clack waste???
i have been advised not to get a pop up waste for a double ended bath as it pops up when you are in it, and i keep reading posts referring to click clacks???0
