Video Card Problems

Options
I bought a NVIDIA FX5500 Video card for my desk top, since I have fitted it the colour on my video isn't right. It is like watching a negative. One of my friends said I may need to download the latest upgrade for it. If this is what I need to do how do I do it. I have already loaded the software I got with it but with no luck. The card is working as I have played games with it. Help me if you can.

Cheers Phil.

I think this is a problem with some of the older drivers, this can be solved by right clicking anywhere on the desktop and select 'Nvidia Display' then to 'Colour Correction' in the menu to the left, in the first tab select 'all' and then click 'restore defaults'. That should solve the problem with those drivers, but you are better off getting the new ones which your friend suggested. . You can get the latest ones here.

Just download them and run the installer, the steps to follow are fairly easy.
  • Thank you very much for your advice, I followed it to the letter and now my card is in full working order. You have done your good deed for the day.

    Cheers Phil.
