Overheard in our house last night: Dad to daughter who has English friends staying, "..and you'll be able to hear the Lambeg drums as well"
Son (18) to Dad " What , seriously? we will be able to hear them? but Thats like MILES away!"

The soldiers of WW1 and 2 do get recognition. There's banners commemorating them. Take a closer look at the banner being carried at the front of the bands.
Regards the lambeg drums, I love them, especially when the fife is played with them.0 -

Battle of the Somme (WW1) commemorated on 1st July amongst others & i'm sure there were many brave soldiers who fought & died in that war 300 years ago..............;)What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0 -
