Finding out if a company for an IVA is legit?

Hi,
This is probably a really silly question but.....How do I find out if a company offering IVA's is any good?
We've been looking into IVA's and we might be able to get some help from a firm and we'd like to check them out before we go any further.
Like I said - probably a stupid question but any help would be much appreciated. Thanks very much.

I found my IVA company by phonong the government sponsered debtline. They gave me a very short list of about 3 comnpanies that would not charge you any fees at all but all the fees would be passed onto the creditors. As my IVA was put in place over 7 years ago ( and been finished for 3 years ) there is not much point in me recomending a company.0

I went via Payplan, as they were the organisation offering advice and services through the Police Federation. I figured that given the nature of the organsiation they couldnt be seen to be promoting a shoddy or dubious organisation.
I am pleased to say, from experience, that it has all worked out well with them.
Would recommend them.0 -
