Can anyone help me please. I have searched everywhere on my computer, but cannot get it to automatically connect to the web, when I open either Outlook Express or Internet Explorer, which it used to do, but just stopped doing it one day. So now I have to go to Control Panel, Dial-up Networking and connect manually. A real pain!
Still on dial-up but planning to go BB soon!!!

lee634. I was aware of this procedure BUT, when I click on Connection Tab, the "dial whenever a connection is not present" is not in bold print and will not allow me to click on it ! Any other suggestions please??

Thankyou all who replied, but as explained in my last post, this does not help for the reason shown. When I checked yesterday on this thread, only lee364 had posted a reply, but to-day 2 others are showing who posted BEFORE lee364. Strange! Anyway apologies for the duplication at the top, I edited the first one to show my operating system (Me) but somehow both posts are shown and it won't let me delete, as they are thread starters!
Any other suggestins would be welcome.

Open IE and work offline, whilst NOT connected try to open a page such as the home page. At this point it will either then go there or ask you if you want to 'Connect' or still 'Work offline', Select connect and a request a dial-up connection should apprea. If it does not then press the refresh button and it will. It's at this point select 'connect' you get the dial-up screen that should let you change username, password, select automatically connect as well as save password etc.

You can get the same thing by trying to run a program that needs a internet connection whilst not currently connected, ie music jukebox.

Had very limited use with ME but all other OS work this way.

PS: I never have my dial-up to be auto.
    Regards,
    Dave
