have been trawling work form home info, thanks for the tip on checking for scams, I used to do ironing just to make an extra few £, I hate it but I earnt on average £5 an hour, I will probably look at doing that again as I can work while the children are in bed.
Thank you for the mobile broadband info, I feel like I am starting to get things a bit clearer in my head about where I might be able to cut costs. It is like wading through treacle though.
I have to start my life again as a single parent and I want to know I can at least break even with money, I have seen so many friends in my situation get sucked into a bottomless pit and I am determined not to let that happen to me.0 -
If you MUST have reliable, fast internet access and a good quality line for your work, then the BT or similar option is probably the best. I would have thought that mobile broadband would be best in a big city where there are many mobile phone masts, but I have seen a posting from someone who is using it successfully from a caravan miles from anywhere in the Lake District. I expect that you know that you can try your postcode on various sites to see what the coverage is like. As I said, it is not very fast in the evenings and at weekends.
My only experience of work done at home is of research, papers, application and report writing, programming and other IT related activities done by professionals who have build up a list of contacts and colleagues who pass on suitable assignments. I have learned from this forum that some people set up eBay shops. As for cutting costs in general, the Old Style Money Saver board is a gold mine. Living in a small village can;t be easy, but at least you are not surrounded by temptation in the form of shops.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?
