Travel Insurance for Egypt - will it cover laptop damage or theft?

Im going to Egypt May 2nd-31st - i need to take my laptop along - can i get a travel insurance to cover this up to £1000, just in case anything happens?

As long as its a trip no longer than 30 days I think its still covered on your contents insurance (home) but check but most travel insurance policies only cover things upto teh value of about 250 unless you take out a special insurance but check with your contents first why pay twice
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0
