Can someone help me claim back charge from RBOS

Hi, i am new here so not sure what i have to do.
I get on-line statements and i have recently checked it.
3 days ago i got CHG for £10
2 days ago i got CHG REFERRAL FEE for £60

This is the first time i have been charged, i think it may be because i slightly went over my overdraft limit by £2.12

I know people have to send £10 for some statements or something, but i already know how much that has been charged so can i miss this step ?
What will be the next step after this?

Thank you to everyone who has read this, and thanks in advance for answering.

Yes you can. I think you have either an R21, Student Royalties or Graduate Royalties account.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

  • Yes, i was on R21 until i got a letter 2 weeks ago saying that i was too old for it now, and had to be moved to another account, which will be changed in the next 30 days... I think its called an Interest Paying Current Account.

So if i can miss the initial first step what should i be doing next?

Sorry if this has been asked loads of times.

Read Martins guide here but be aware that reclaiming is on hold for the time being unless you feel that you are in financial hardship, there is a guide about that here. Both guides include template letters you can amend and print off.

I'd be inclined to just give the bank a quick ring, explain the situation and ask them nicely if they'll refund the charges.
