Here goes, hope this is ok for this Board.
STARS
(Syncope Trust And Reflex anoxic Seizures)
Registered Charity No. 1084898
http://www.stars.org.uk/
Is a charity I have supported for a few years now as our middle son, now 6yrs old, suffers from RAS (albeit thankfully his episodes have dramatically reduced and he has only had one in the past year).
The charity helps people throughout the UK and indeed beyond and covers a wide range of conditions within its umbrella of ' for people with blackouts'.
The fundraising button on their site takes you through the various ways the charity can be supported. For example, last year my husband's employers held a fundraising event at their annual conference and very kindly helped raise over £500.
Although I try to support a couple of charities in various ways, fundraising is not my forte and I usually leave that side of things to others, so thank you, Martin et al, for providing this board and allowing me to highlight this deserving charity.

Many are affected by the various types of heart rhythm disorders that come under the umbrella of Arrhythmia. STARS is one of the charities involved in next weeks Arrhythmia Awareness week.
