Post Office CC - wrong security code - help!

Does anyone have a good contact telephone number or email for someone at the Post Office who can solve my problem?
When I opened my Post Office CC, I was sent a letter with my 6 digit security code. I need to provide selected digits from this code whenever I phone them up, to prove it's me.
I've never changed my security code, but when I called them, I gave them the digits they asked for and they kept telling me the digits were wrong. I gave up and called back the next day and they said the same thing.
I decided to try again the next day just in case it was a stupid system error, but when they told me the digits were wrong yet again, I complained and said I was reading them off the letter they had sent. They basically refused to speak to me because I had the "wrong numbers", even though I didn't. They're sending my statements to the wrong address so I really need to change the address on my account, but they wouldn't do this for me because they think I'm not me because they sent me the wrong flipping security code.
I called back a couple more times and tried going through different departments but just ended up getting put through to other people who put me through to other people who said if I didn't have the right code they couldn't speak to me anyway. I have to admit, if they genuinely think I don't have the security code, then it must look suspicious that I'm trying to change the address on my account, but all I want them to do is change my address to the address I gave them in the first place (they got my postcode wrong). I can't explain why the security code they gave me doesn't work.
Any ideas? At this rate I can't even close the card down and go with someone else because they don't believe I'm me!

I really do doubt that the code on the letter is wrong. These things are done by computers which send out the same letter to thousands of people each day and will be specifically designed to never get it wrong.
I suppose the obvious 3 questions would be:
1. Are you sure you're reading it right?
2. Are you definitely giving them the right code? Maybe the one you are looking at is for something different - online banking maybe.
3. Are you sure you haven't changed it? Maybe you registered for online banking and set up a code there that is actually the same one used on the phone.
More likely to be some kind of misunderstanding like this than anything else.
Also, they must have a system in place for when people have forgotten their code. They usually ask you other questions about your account (mother's maiden name, repayment method, etc). Haven't they tried any of that?0 -
Can this code be changed by you when you have received the original. Could someone else have got hold of the code and changed it.0

on the back of the letter from the post office it does explain how to activate the security code if you have never called them before it may not have been activated so perhaps a new one has been issued.
also whenever i call they never ask for this number, i only need the 6 digit one when siging in online, are you sure you never set up an alternative password/code ie mothers maiden name etc when you first had the account? as they always ask me for certain letters of the password that is set up on the account but the pass code on mine is not the 6 digit number they issued, but one i advised when applying for the card,MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -

I agree with Kadiea - if you were giving them the correct digits, why were you told they were wrong?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
