which car?
Im 24 looking to spend around 10k on a decent car. Ideally something that looks sporty but doesnt have to be really fast.
Main criteria:
Good looking
reliable
keeps value decently and wont have massive running costs,
fairly economical
prefer automatic
I often spend 1hr each way on road traveling from one end of north circ to other for work and same back.
If anyone has any ideas let me know please. Currently I dont have any no claims been named on other policy but unfortunately had little accident back in feb.

i know a guy who had one and literally as soon as it went beyond warranty stages it started to fall apart at a frightening rate. perishing fuel hoses, handbrake cables rotted, exhaust rotted,a dashboard like blackpool illuminations, wheel cylinders leaking, and a few other things. i know a few are wear and tear but all at once. it didnt inspire too much confidence....work permit granted!0 -

You surprise me there Goldy, my son had an accent mvi followed by a coupe F2, both were unbreakable and with his very hard driving thats saying something believe me.
Others i know with them swear by them, yours is the first negative i've heard of any Hyundai cars.
Good job the warranty is 5 years 100K then..:cool:0 -

Same here, I have never heard of any bad reports about Hyndai's, it's usually the Fords, Vauxhalls, Rovers etc. and French rubbish that I hear about.0 -

I know the OP said sporty looks, but doesn't have to be really fast, but that kia does the 0-60 in 11 seconds!!!! I have stood on faster glaciers.
Op How about Clio 172 ?0 -
Op How about Clio 172 ?
OP's list of priorities number 2....reliability...:p
Apart from that 0 to 60 times give sometimes false indication of what sort of normally useable power a vehicle has.
Not for one minute suggesting a 172 hp Renault matchbox would be sluggish in any gear by the way.0
