Any suggestions pls to help me get Quidco links working on my PC ?
I've tried lowering my Privacy/Cookie settings, turned off Pop Up Blocker, Firewall (Zone Alarm), AVG Anti Virus, etc etc all to no avail. I've read their help pages and am now emailing their support
I tried to switch home phone CPS today to Primus (as suggested in forums) using Uswitch link (earning £8) but alas again, this link wouldn't work for me. Some of the links work but only very few...HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

You haven't downloaded and installed an alternative .host file to block advertising/adult/other dubious content?
Although I don't use Quidco, I suspect that most of their links are served through advertising sites (to track click-throughs for payment). The .host file will block access to these advertising sites and therefore the offer you're trying to access on the shopping site.0 -

Thanks Christie, yes i have 'SpyWareGuard', 'Microsoft AntiSpyware' and 'SpyWare Blaster'. I tried closing them all down though (at least I think I did) but I didn't restart or close down the browser. Then I clicked the Quidco link. Any suggsetions pls ?
Right just had another go and I give up, closed everything down anti spyware, cookie blocker, ie security settings on lowest, etc etc etc.....still no joy......looks like no Quidco saving for meyou know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!0 -
Hi
I'm sure somebody posted on here the other week about not being able to get into Quidco, they were using IE.
So they downloaded Firefox and was in within a minute.
Maybe worth a try.0 -
Hi folks :j
This is very important for anyone else who might spend weeks like I did wondering why the hell most of the Quidco.Com links don't work.
I tried turning off the Firweall, Anti Virus, Spyware Protector, Pop Up Blocker, Cookie settings, Privacy settings, etc etc etc and STILL NO JOY
Then someone advised that I try downloading a new browser called Firefox but still that didn't work
Finally I got direct contact with Quidco support and thy pointed me to something I've never heard of called the HOSTS file
Sure enough when I got in there it was literally full of addresses seemingly restricting access......and low and behold the culprit was there Tradedoubler address which is what a lot of the Quidco.Com links use
I followed some simple instructions I found on Google to delete all the files and hey presto - restarted the PC and all the Quidco links work fine :T
Now if that isn't dedication to saving a few quid - I don't know what is
Actually I plan to use the Quidco link to the new Carphone Warehouse free Broadband offer which will give me cashback of £20 +
Phew......I can get back to my life now......happy saving everyone :laugh:you know when you're getting older - the wife says, "let's go upstairs and make love" and you reply, "I can't do both" !!0 -
