Would you buy a repaired PRC house?

What are peoples thoughts on buying a repaired prc house? Especially in relation to resale.

    the WWII short term housing solution? Those concrete cancer ones? Those ones that they always auction because mortgage companies do not loan money on? Those ones that crumble and fall down?

    My mum lived near some. Some looked very good, others were barreling and others had cracks - small and VERY large.

    To be homes at a btl in a good area and if cheap enough, and the land is worth the money I would.

    As a plain house I'd run a mile. A repaired one - so you can polish a turd after all?

    I've lived in a PRC house & repaired it. There are various engineering co's throughout U.K. who were awarded licenses to repair these propertys (various type of PRC- i.e. Cornish I, II, etc). A good builder is critical also. My house was in a fab location - end terrace top of a hill, overlooking a park, cul de sac, south facing garden, etc I sold it in a good market, took me over a year to sell - and it was stunning!! And I had to reduce several times. Also beware even repaired PRC is difficult to mortgage and I would think impossible to sell in current market. Be very very wary. They certainly dont hold their value as a standard brick built.

    Having said that, I really loved living in my little PRC house (was a Cornish I)
