Hi,
I need a really smooth mouse mat as I like to use the traditional ball mouse( even though I have an optical one) The mouse mat that came along with the computer 4 years ago was great really smooth surface and the mouse glided over it effortlessly but it is now worn out. All the other mouse mats I have seen are not smooth enough too much friction when you drag mouse over them. Any ideas on where I can get what I am looking for and if you have one yourself so that you can recommend it to me,
thanks

Have you cleaned your ball lately? ;D The one inside your mouse, obviously!!
;D
All sorts of bits of dirt, hair, crumbs can get in there and stop the mouse moving freely. I went though sooooo many mouse mats, blaming them, when it was the ball all along ;DI :heart2: Boots

I'm afraid I'm an optical convert...hate the balls now.
No need for a mat and also having it wireless is magic.0 -
It's not just the balll but the two axis and tensioning rollers that each build up a layer of dead skin cells. This must be scrapped off before cleaning. Ball mice are a high maintainance pain but I can understand how people become attatched to a particular favourite.

Would something like the RatpadzGS be suitable? There designed for fps games (first person shooter games e.g. Doom3, Half Life etc).

Thanks for that blinky, have just ordered one £4 cheaper on there than another site. Naw the ball on the mouse is clean enough just that the mousemat surface on other mats I have is not smooth enough.
happy xmas everybody0
