Trying to get video into Windows Movie Maker to make it alot smaller so i can upload it to Facebook as its currently 70MB.
When i try to upload it to WMM it comes up with this message
The file C:\Users\Nick\Pictures\Ski Season - Training\DSCF0627.MP4 cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.
I have done videos in WMM before but i dont know why it wont allow me this time.

A quick search on Google comes up with these pages offering codec packs for xp, http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&rlz=1T4HPNN_enGB330GB330&q=xp+codec+pack&revid=942124248&ei=EgpZSszhAc6NjAf5nYEb&sa=X&oi=revisions_inline&resnum=0&ct=broad-revision&cd=3Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0

MP4 files cannot normally be played in Windows Media Player, so it's not surprising Movie Maker throws a wobbly. Normally they're handled by third-party applications such as VLC and Quicktime.
If all you want to do is make the file smaller, try MediaCoder instead.0 -
Tried to use the following but not having an luck at all. I have transferred and made MP4 files smaller using Windows Media Player before but dont know why it is not working now.
Why can there not be a program or something on facebook that make the video smaller anyway>!?!!?No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
