Hello,
First time I've posted on this site, just wondering if there is anybody who could help out?
I am looking on moving into a flat with my girlfreind, we are both 22 and in full time employment, and have been looking at a flat just outside the city centre of liverpool, asking price is £800pcm, furnished.
If I was looking at getting the place on a minnimum of a twelve month contract (would like 24 months but don't think this is a possibility), on an unfurnished basis, could we try to negotiate the rent? If so how much could I realistically offer?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I live in London, and in the past five years have been in three rental properties. I negotiated on all of them (it seemed almost expected, in fact). The first one I got reduced by £50 pcm, the second by £75, and the third by £100. Never tried for more than that.0
