I had a normal cash card until about a year or 2 back when the bank sent me a debit card, is there any chance i could just go back to an ordinary cash card where you just draw money out at a cash machine will the bank let me do that

why on earth would you want a cashcard? A 3-in-1 or even 2-in-1 is much more use nowadays...... what if you went to the bank, only for machine to be out of order - but hey, a Tesco is close, at least with a debit card you could get cashback or even pay for goods that you can't do with a cashcard....

Maybe, just maybe, you'd be better opening a secondary account with Lloyds and transfer some money over to it (would meet the qualifying criteria that way)..... Personally, not a good idea to give up a debit card - most people on here would bite your hand off (those that can't get one of course).....

I run all my finances thro a basic bank account (YorkshireBS).It does all my d/d,s and s/o,s and I think it offers me more protection from card fraud.
Mind you I send a s/o to a Nationwide visa debit which is my "beer money".

It makes sense but the key point here is that you still have a debit card...... the post I replied to implied they wanted to swap their debit for a cashcard which is what i'd initially queried.... you know what I mean......

It,s good to keep your options open.I,ve had 3 frauds in 3 years on 3 diff credit cards,it scares me to think of all my mortgage money, council tax etc getting pinched and the resultant hassle.
