How do you store your long necklaces??

Hello everybody!
Thought I'd ask on here about something thats been getting on my nerves for a while - how do other people store their necklaces? The ones that I mean are the long ones like big strings of beads, and the chunky ones that are quite long (sort of reaching at least down to your boobs).
I have a jewellery box, but they take up too much room, and at the minute I'm hanging them over the edge of the radiator, but I have quite a few and they still get tangled up.
Any suggestions?
xx

I have hooks screwed or glued on the side of the wardrobe in rows, but a wall would be good. Have a few draped on the corner of the mirrors in the bedroom as well0

I use one of those mug holders, a vertical stick thing with horizontal pegs sticking out of it. Works really well, also for bangles too. For extra long necklaces just loop them over a couple of times.0

I have about 20 brass cuphooks screwed along a plain part of my wall .
I have then hung all my long necklaces from them. No more spending hours trying to detangle them and it looks really pretty too.Moneysaving? - I cant stop spending because of this site!0 -
Thanks they are good ideas. I had thought about the hook thing before but as I rent I don't want to make too many screw holes in the wall - but then I've just thought maybe if I paint a piece of hardboard and put the hooks on that, I only need one hole in the wall then don't I.
Mug holder thing is a good idea but I think I've got a few too many, I'd need a whole row of them hehe
Thanks for your replies!

I've got 2 wire coathangers hanging up - one I've looped all my necklaces over the cross piece, the other has a very old, thin, beaten up t-shirt on it which I use to hang my dangly earrings from by piercing them through the cotton! :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0

I loop mine over the coathanger with the outfit they go with and now and again and change them round to a different outfit.0

I have got a plastic coat hanger which came from the dry cleaners. It has a lot more hooks and other bits sticking out from it than an ordinary coat hanger. I have hung loads of necklaces from it in different places and they stay separate. It then goes into my wardrobe.0

I have a thing shaped like a tiny taylors dummy with hooks at the top and sides. It's only small but it's very handy for storing necklaces. I keep it on my dressing table. Got it from a charity shop.0
