CAR WINDOWS MISTING UP

Anybody got a remedy for stopping car windows misting over? As well as the misting problem they seem to have a lot of condensation and I seem to be forever drying them off. Have tried some anti mist solutions and even left doors and windows open whilst car garaged, but the problem persists. Has anyone a home remedy solution?
Thanks

Have you checked that your air vents are all working? Or is it possible that a young passenger has turned them off without you realising?
If all the air vents are turned on and working, maybe the setting has been moved to recirculate? Check that the symbol for air drawn from outside the car is the current setting, rather than the recirculate option.
Finally, if all these aren't the problem.............are you keeping damp/wet items in the car/boot? I always find that if it's raining........my car mists up when I first get in the car..........and it's much worse when carrying passengers with wet coats etc.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Thanks for the above replies, but non applies re passengers, windows are clean,I very rarely use the recirc, vents are working, as I mentioned I have even left doors and windows open all night and day when not using car all to no avail, there are no wet items in the bootDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0

apparently, putting shaving foam on a mirror in the bathroom helps repel mist on the mirror itself. give it a try on the windows, normal shaving foam, and get a cloth and put shaving foam onto it, and wipe it accross the glass.
give it a go, and give us some feedback.0 -
Could be the boot leaking?
I've had both Vectras & Cavaliers which have this same problem.
I'm afraid if it is you will need to find the leak. Another common leak spot is the footwells.
Air con helps with this but lots of cars still dont have it.Dont waste a perfectly good present worrying about the future!0 -
It normally means moisture ie from a leak is trying to get out, but i have had the same trouble this year and have noticed that lots of other people appear to have the same trouble, could it just be down to the extra damp weather conditions ?WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -
Try the air con if you have that in your car.
Even in our brand new Picasso windows mist up easily, always have done for all the cars we have had.
I think its the weather - esp. here in the north west. But run the Air Con.0 -
Condensation means you have a water problem somewhere in the car.
There is no other explanation for it.
Have you got a sunroof ??
My car had a leaking sunroof. I found the seal had been bunched up during fitting at the fiat factory, causing it to leak. :-/
The leak wasn't spotted for quite a while as the water would run down the side columns to the footwells.
We assumed it was wet feet that was causing it. ::)
In concluding. as I said earlier, condensation means you got water somewhere in the car.If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

Nothing seems wet except the windows, no sunroof.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0

does this problem occure only when it is raining out side or if its rained previously.
reason im saying is that quite often, when you've sat in the car, and your clothes are wet, this creates moisture in the car.0 -
Wet,dry,raining or not,usually coldish weather,no damp clothes,driver onlyDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
