Investing in trees

I read some articles about investing in teak trees. However the articles where all on websites from farm trees so better take them with a pinch of salt.

How good can such an investment be?

Anybody experience with it?

It's indeed good for the environment because it will prevent illegal deforestation.

it looks like rubbish to me! may as well plant some in your garden, i bet you will never see a penny of your money again!

a friend of my girlfriend did and she got money out of it. Next time, I'll see her I'll ask her more about it.
