spoke to branch manager what a waste of time that was nothing he can do it might not be there fault wait and see was his attitude .asked if i could make a complaint he gave me another number .i call them and explained what had happened and was told all complaints has to go through branch .asked to speak to there manager .put on hold 5 mins only to be put back through to the branch.
he said he could'nt understand that i was unhappy and things take time.
when i asked why they had taken a payment from my personal account .he said part of t&c was if i fail to make payment they have the right to take from personal account .but i have made a payment .he said but they havent recieved it.
i think im just going round in circles with him.

also i asked if i could have it in writing stating it is a bank error just in case it ever goes against me on my credit file and have been told no do you think i should insist on one
    thanks for your help

Phone the Chairman's office and I guarantee the problem will be resolved within 2 hours.

It will work like this - Chairman's representative will contact Area director - who will contact Local Director who will tear a strip off the manager because his balls will have been chewed for letting it get this far.

i ve contacted bank manager he said its card services fault and card services say it branches fault

This is where you thank him for the "fascinating" insights into the problem a bank manager has, but ask him what that has to do with him solving your problem. If these are all departments in the same bank then they really shouldn't be having to discuss their internal problems with a customer, they should simply be telling you how they're going to fix their mistake for you.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything

Loads of jokers. I think they do it just to make the queue longer for business users who sometimes have to pay in cash and cheques.

Googling suggests a telephone number for head office of 0207 626 1500.

I would ring them up and sh*t stir - keep your mobile handy for when they phone you and grovel an apology.

well it's been a few weeks now have contacted local directors office and they told me they have provided all the information to card services . called card services and they have no record of the bank contacting them .yesterday have asked to make a formal complaint and have recivied a letter today saying they will look in to it .then get a phone call today from the branch to say if i go into and sign a letter they will refund £100 into my bank account and if they find the missing money i will have to pay it back to them.
not really bothered about the money now just want my credit card sorting out late payment fees extra interest ect .
