in Credit cards
Hi all, I am wanting a cc to build up my credit score, as I am planning on buyiing a car in the next few months
I would just buy normal items and pay off in full each month. I have a couple of catalogue accounts 400 and 250 credit limits, my own mobile, house phone and broadband in my own name (4 years), pay all my bills etc so am guessing that whilst my credit is not exceptional it is not awful either, recently checked my report on experian and nothing came up so....... which is the best card I have read martins guides and am still at a bit of a loss.
any help appreciated.

It takes time to build a good credit rating.
If this would be your first credit card, the bank that holds your main current account may be the best place to start.
Once you've operated this and at least one other credit card for a bit, you'll find it easier to get the finance and credit limits you wantPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
thanks for that I will have a look at my banks (natwest) cards then.
cheers again0 -
Be careful when buying a car on a cc, a lot of garages charge a 2% fee for paying with a cc on car purchases.0

was thinking more of getting a loan than using the card for the car, but having just applied with my bank for a credit card i have been turned down no explanation just a box at end of form saying i do not meet their checks!! I have over a grand a month going into the account so I don't see what the prob is!!
guess I should try the sub thingy cards then0
