Has anybody had many viewers this week,or has everybody gone away????
We had loads viewers to see our house the previous two weeks and it now seems everyone has gone away for Easter???

You may get less viewers this week for two reasons...

    1. They have indeed sqaundered their money on a holiday rather than saving to buy a shiney new house.

    2. They are saving their viewings for the 4 day weekend, where you may get absolutely hammered with visits because people will be around to view.

    Fingers crossed for number 2!

As has been said, many people go away for Easter, its the first real break for many people since Christmas. Also take into account that people have the kids home from school & the last thing they want to do is drag the kids round loads of houses on viewings.

As an EA myself I know that if the weathers good this weekend, we won't see many people they'll all be down the garden & DIY places, but we'll be open, just in case. I bought my current house over the Easter weekend, despite the efforts of the agents acting for the vendor.

    You want quality not quantity.

I wouldn't fret too much. I put my flat up for sale on 25th March. I had 11 viewings on the following Mon, Tue & Weds and nothing at all after. Went to a closing date on 6th April and had 4 offers.
As above, quality not quantity counts.

Advertisements in the paper usually have impact on the number of viewings for me. First two weeks, adverts = viewings. This weekend no advert = no viewings. Relaxed a bit too much as a result and the house is now a dump! :wall:

I should imagine the spring property market wouldn't be as busy as normal this year, because it's still so damn cold out there.

Personally I'm planning to stay in bed until May unless it stops dropping hail stones on my every time I leave the house!

Seriously - one feels a lot more perky about snooping around other people's houses if it's sunny.

I'm sure they'll all be out viewing soon
