Transfer or Purchase

Hello All.
I have a really stupid question that I hope someone can help me with.

I bought a sofa on a 0% for a year, which is due to run out soon. I want to put the debt onto a 0% credit card but unsure which to choose.

Is it classed as a PURCHASE (As i will be paying for something over the phone)
OR:confused:
Is it classed as a TRANSFER (because it is already an existing debt)

I just cant get my head round it...

Thanks for any help.

  • It will be classed as a transfer so find a card with a good balance transfer deal for you. If you can pay off the remainder within 6 months then the Play.com credit card is a good deal with a 1.5% fee for transfers. If it'll take you longer to repay then look for a card with good long term deals.
