MSE Winners, what part of the country are you from?

Just out of curiosity, what part of the country are most of the winners from? obviously this poll isnt too scientific, as there will be more from one area entering....but I can't help wondering if Northern Ireland seems to win less in the GB comps because of their adress, seem even a few comps posted recently dont have the option of NI entry

Hi Torby,
I think living in NI we are limited to the type of comps we can enter. I don't enter tickets for events that are not here or for holidays that can't accommodate flying from Belfast or Dublin.
But I still do quite well each month in wins, so I aint complaining
Out of interest Torby, are you entering the pepsi comp?
I am not sure if we are able to enter because it states GB, CI and IOM. And going by past pepsi promotions...they excluded NI. Might email them and find out. Bit miffed that they sell the promo cans here and then leave us out grrrr :coffee:0 -
Hope thats not the case, I've bought 24 cans and they still accepted my entries!!!...lolI'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

I'm just catching up after my hols and found the pepsi one today - I wondered the same as you Shelly - remember coke ran 2 comps one GB, CI, IOM and one NI & ROI?? Usually when we are excluded you can't buy the cans here - I haven't seen any (but then haven't really been looking out for them as only back yesterday)
Torby - I'm much the same as Shelly in that I don't do tickets/hols as too much travel/expense involved. The other thing to consider is that NI has a smaller population that England.

I always thought NI had some sort of different competition law, with regarding to purchase of products for comps, as I keep seeing different routes of entry for NI on these kind of things. I might be wrong though.
Josie your totals are fantastic, well done!!0 -
I hope you dont get less chance because ur from ireland! I understand the ticket thing I dont even enter them because im welsh and I wouldnt bother going that far for an event, I dont do holiday comps either because to them a family is four when in mine its 7! and it would just be awkward explaining... I would like to think we all got the same chance xxxx2010 challenge A.B.C.D.[STRIKE]E.[/STRIKE]F.G.H.I.J.[STRIKE]K[/STRIKE].L.M.N.O.P.Q.[STRIKE]R[/STRIKE].S.T.U.V.W.X.Y.Z

Thanks Lucy.
You are correct on the point that NI have a npn for a lot of comps, this is because the Gambling Act does not apply here - the Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements (Northern Ireland) Order 1985 still applies, which is good in some ways, we can enter for the cost of a stamp and postcard, but not in others - some companies choose to leave us out rather than offer the npnas they want people to actually buy the product! Imagine!!
Helly - I don't think where you are from matters, just the luck of the draw with genuine promoters/companies.Jo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52
