I don't do it the way they say - I just cut them unpeeled and spray with fry-light. They crisp really well and no faffing around with the par-boiling!

I thought that at first put I have now got them sussed.........
I whack a spud in the microwave until its almost cooked, take it out with a teatowel and cut it into chips (I leave the skin on) I then spray it with fry lite and put it in the oven on quite high.
