Google's glossary is pretty good at looking up a word/phrase/acronym you are unsure of. Just type "define:" followed by the the phrase you want to find into the normal google search box.
"blog" is a good example of how the service works - it returns lots of definitions so you can see many examples and come to a better understanding.
