Looks like i need to buy one for 5 year old laptop,are they expensive ?

    You might find it just as cheap to replace the laptop with a new one (particularly if it is 5 yeasr old). It is likely the only place you will get one will be from Dell (give them a call although they may not supply you with one and may insist on fittin g it themselves). They are fitable by a competent DIYer.

    You could buy a second hand model for a couple of hundred, but as already suggested, you can get a new Dell for 300 or so..
