Having looked into phone recycling schemes for a charity that I am involved in, I have come to the conclusion that they are not such good value.

Envirofone, who have been discussed in the money saving forums, give hard cash. If you recycle your phones through Envirofone, get the cash then donate that to the charity then the charity will benefit further. Firstly they will get a lot more then £3.50. Secondly you can gift-aid your donation so the charity gets a further 28% bung from Gordon Brown.
