Quality long lasting socks

I bought a whole load of new socks a 12months ago from M&S and they are now all with large holes in them. Same thing happened with some Woolworth socks.
What has happened to socks now? I remember when socks used to last for ages...
I'm looking for quality long lasting socks at a reasonable price.
I saw some socks in Pimart for £2 for 2 pairs.. they had Lycra in them. Would they last because of the Lycra?

Hubby swears by Tesco's more expensive socks. He has pairs that have lasted a few years now. Good job he doesn't have smelly feet :rotfl:0

I have some from Tesco that are lasting really well too. They were multi packs (3 or 5 pairs, I've had them long enough that I can't remember) not value brand but I do remember they weren't very expensive. At least a year old and not a hole in sight.Marsh Samphire0

Great thanks for that. I would not have thought of going to Tesco.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

i was going to suggest tesco socks too, i have the ones that are black with coloured heels and toes, they must be about 3 years old now and still going strong - the material is just starting to thin a bit on the balls of the feet. iirc they were £6 for 5 pairs0

I bought socks from Asdas ~ a multipack of 5 pairs (not the cheapest but cotton rich ones) and they have lasted for ages. I would receommend them too

I get all my socks from Matalan. They last ages and ages and are good quality. I only have small feet so can fit in kids ones
and I only wear trainer socks. I paid £2.50 for 3 pairs at the weekend. Also their full socks work out at £1 per pair. :heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I got ones from Tescos too with coloured heels, £3 for 3 pairs I think or perhaps five I think and they've lasted me a while too. Got similar from Debenhams, £5 for 3 pairs, black with coloured heels and they are fine too.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. Why not just get the cheap Primark ones? New socks are a pleasure, and you can get PM ones for about 40p a pair if you buy the multipacks - that way it's less of a tragedy when one sock decides to emigrate to the 'Planet of the Socks' - which happens all the time in this house!

I bought my little girl some fab socks from Tchibo at Somerfield - £2.99 for 5 pairs. The quality is excellent. Think they also do adults socks.0
