Does anybody know how I can get my interst payments down on my credit card as I cannot afford the payments. I have called lloyds tsb and they have refused to do anything but each month although I do pay the required amount, it is late and I keep getting charged and now the charges are mounting up. I would like to reclaim the charges but I am worried that they would ask for the whole amount back which I could not afford and I would not be able to get another card. Can anyone help with advice.

Its why they are called Highway robbers! Loan sharks basically. Start claiming for bank charges if I were you, I wouldn't both paying them back they are taking the mickey out of you trying to lump on charges on top of more charges, should all be sent to the Tower for crimes against ordinary citizens.0

You are getting confused...what bank charges are you referring to?Goodtimesahead wrote: »I wouldn't both paying them back they are taking the mickey out of you trying to lump on charges on top of more charges, should all be sent to the Tower for crimes against ordinary citizens.
If this was any sort of advice - I hope the OP ignores it.0 -

Better advice would be to suggest to the OP that as he says he can maintain payments each month but is simply late with the payment, would it not be an idea to request the CC company to change the statement date to reflect when your salary/funds are available, thereby making your payments on time and then not getting the late fees you are currently? As far as I am aware all companies will do this for you if asked.
Having a tantrum session and name calling as Goodtimesahead has done is doing nothing to help with the OP's question
The next best advice was to speak to the CAB or one of the other free debt management companies and get their expert help behind you0
