Fitting a new bathroom - fair prices

Hello,
Firstly, sorry but I'm sure this has been asked before. I've had a look through a few pages and can't find a similar thread though.
I am going to buy a new bathroom suite from MFI shortly. £400.00, but looks ok to me. Steel bath rather than usual plastic you get.
Anyway, I am going to get three plumbers to quote on fitting. It would be handy to have a ball-park figure in my head before anyone comes to quote me.
Anyone have any ideas? Its basically to take out the existing bath, sink and toilet and put the new ones in. Sounds simple to me!!?!
Thanks in advance.
Duncan

in my area(leicestershire), providing its a straight swap(like for like and no or minor pipework alterations etc) i usally charge £350.00 which includes fittings(as required) and bath and basin traps and new pan connector
these prices are approx to my local area, and depends on how grumpy the customer is/cups of tea recieved.... :rotfl:
hth,
Bruce21100 -
I live in Cornwall and quote anything from £300 plus materials up.
When you get a quote, get the guy to put in writing exactly what he will do for the quote. For example, will he repair tiled areas disturbed by removal of the suite?
Some may even quote you £200, but ask youself, what quality of job are you getting for your money?
HBehind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
Both of those prices sound very reasonable indeed.
We have been quoted almost £3k by one bathroom supplier - including about £100 worth of flooring materials - but that did include doing (but not supplying) the tiling.
Another fitter has quoted us around £1,250 for fitting and tiling which is somewhat more reasonable to my ears.
£400 sounds very reasonable for a suite with a steel bath.0 -
hee hee to many cups of tea when the toilet is out of action might not be a good idea lolbruce2110 wrote:in my area(leicestershire), providing its a straight swap(like for like and no or minor pipework alterations etc) i usally charge £350.00 which includes fittings(as required) and bath and basin traps and new pan connector

Thanks everyone, its nice to have a rough idea before getting people to quote.
